👩‍💻 Who you are

Are you excited to embark on an adventure with a tight-knit team, and are a constant learner with a growth-mindset? If yes, you are in for a ride!
You have experience building REST and GraphQL APIs
Experience with Typescript and Python
Experience with at least one major frontend web framework, and one major backend web framework
Experience with SQL
Experience with AWS infrastructure
SQS, SNS, Lambda
You are very comfortable with functional programming
Ideally, you have experience:
with React and Flask
building third party integrations
Integration with Google calendar, Slack, Outlook is a plus
implementing Graphql endpoints in React and/or Flask
with Docker
with DevOps
Building and maintaining microservice architecture
Ideally, you understand state management in React (Redux, React Hooks)
You have 5+ years of experience as a full stack developer
You are comfortable working autonomously
You are interested in mentoring and helping grow an early engineering team
You care about engineering culture and having an impact in shaping it

🙌 What you will do

Because our team is small (and growing!), you’ll be given lots of responsibility and the opportunity to have true ownership as we build out the product. You will be a founding team member on our engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to use your technical skillset to make a direct impact.
You will build and ship product alongside our talented engineering team, with close cross-collaboration with product design, customer experience and sales.

We are REMOTE-first!
Ideally, you also have the choice and opportunity to work in person in one of Epoch’s hubs (Toronto or Kitchener-Waterloo)
Our pay is competitive and is a combination of salary and equity
This is a full-time role
